Art Talks Information
Destiny Allison Fine Art (DAFA) presents an ongoing series on Art in the 21st Century on the first Thursday of each month. Talks are free and usually begin at 6 pm.
These art talks are designed to engage the regional artists, patrons, and community at large in an ongoing conversation about that huge and endlessly convoluted subject of art.
Artists and arts industry professionals across multiple disciplines discuss their personal experiences as well as art’s presence in our lives, the myriad ways in which that presence is perceived and signified, its role in our past, present and future.
Being held in DAFA’s gallery space, the talks’ audience will be limited to 25 people, and advance seat reservations are recommended. Call the gallery at (505) 428-0024 to make a reservation.
Upcoming talks include:
February 2 — Author and artist, Lindsay Ahl
March 1 — Jack McCarthy presents The Third Rail — religious controvery in museums
April 5 — Tom McGuire presents Ballet Russo
